Gray whales give birth to their young and mate in the lagoons of Baja California. Because of the many many whale aggregating here, you feel like being in a giant "whale soup". Blows, leaps, spyhops, and whales socialising all over the place. And then the very young calves getting up close with us humans, apparently under the accepting supervision of their mums...

Grauwale bringen in den Lagunen der Baja California ihre Jungen zur Welt und paaren sich. Weil sich dort so viele Wale aufhalten, glaubt man sich oft inmitten einer monströsen "Wal-Suppe" zu befinden. Überall Blas, Sprünge, Spyhops und Wale, die sich verfolgen und tummeln.
